A New Version of the fdForge System - 2.10.0

A New Version of the fdForge System - 2.10.0

In August, we released a new version of the fdForge system - 2.10.0. It includes important changes to the control panel, improvements to the interface, and added flexibility to the configuration of API services. Also, thanks to this release, the initial setup and updating of the system have become even faster!

Below is a brief description of the main changes.

Visualization of user relationships

The fdForge system has long allowed you to track all user connections with other users or transactions at the dashboard level. But now this visualization has moved to a new level - you can clearly see all the trades associated with a user, as well as other users, and at the same time track the nature of this connection - in what role the user acts in the transaction and how he is related to another user.

This approach greatly simplifies the processing of information about a particular user. This allows you to increase the speed of decision-making or providing feedback.

Setting up field validation rules

In the process of operating systems, we often conduct experiments with our clients - we are looking for a balance between the ease of data entry by users and the volume and structure of the information provided.

In order to standardize and simplify such experiments, we have implemented the ability to configure validation rules for all properties of system entities - products, deals, users, and objects - in the control panel. Since these rules will be used both for control panel operators and for system users who interact with web or mobile applications within fdForge, this functionality will also improve data storage. Now we can ensure that the data entering the system is unified and correct, and we can quickly change these rules over time to improve their quality or increase conversion.

Ability to export the data structure

Quite often, when working with clients, we change the structure and logic of a project first in the dev environment to verify certain hypotheses and test the usability and effectiveness of new solutions. Now, thanks to the structure export mechanics, such changes can be quickly transferred to the production environment for further use.

All system entities - users, transactions, objects, products, and directories - can be exported. Moreover, some of them can export not only the data structure but also the values of the created records. This functionality reduces the operating costs of project support and development and further increases the dynamics of development!

Other changes

This release also includes a number of minor changes that make working with the system even more enjoyable:

  • Changes in the display of objects in the control panel;
  • Improved usability of labels in the control panel;
  • Improved the program interface for working with products;
  • Fixed the rules for generating OpenGraph tags for articles and pages for multilingual use;
  • Updated basic communication templates for administrators and users of the system;
  • Added restrictions for the ALIAS value of dynamic properties;
  • Corrections were made in the process of the initial deployment of the system.
